Be Prepared
Do a little homework! Research the company as well as the position you are applying for. Use the Internet for research or ask an employee from the company.
Business Attire
Visual impressions are very important. Within the first few seconds of the interviewer meeting you, that person will have made judgments based on your appearance. When in doubt of what to wear, you can never go wrong with proper business attire!
Arrive Early
Plan on arriving 10 minutes early. Do not be late. Make sure you know where you are going BEFORE the day of the interview.
Body Language
Maintain eye contact with your interviewer. Show you want the job with your interest. Also, have good posture while seated and smile when appropriate. Make sure to answer questions completely and concisely. To the extent possible, relax. Being relaxed comes from practicing your answers and being fully prepared for the interview.
Closing
Be prepared to ask 3 or 4 key questions. It's best if these questions are about the company and the potential job opportunity. Don't be afraid to ask for the job. If you are truly interested, let the interviewer know by inquiring about the next step in the selection process. And last but not least, don't forget to send a thank you letter after each interview!
